The Covid-19 pandemic has created havoc all over the world & the trouble in the Middle East is no different! UAE has been the destination for investors & business professionals looking for a viable environment for work. But the economy has been taken aback due to the rising threats across the world. The timely restrictions from the UAE government have led to the prevention of the mass spread of the deadly virus.
Of all things done by the local government, the introduction of the Al Hosn app in the UAE has become the government’s most effective tool to combat the virus spread. It is named after the Al Hosn Fort, one of the most prominent architectural treasures in Abu Dhabi. The app was launched on April 24, 2020, and is the joint venture of the Dubai Health Authority, Abu Dhabi Health Authority, & the Ministry of Health and Prevention.
It is a mobile app that is doing validity of your PCR test results to pass into some of the top locations. The app is working as a one-stop-shop for all your Covid-19 vaccination needs & test results linking directly to the health department. It allows the individual to keep the test results in the pocket without the need to print off or pick them up from the testing center.
It is an easy-to-use app and can be downloaded for free from the Google or iPhone store. Download the app first and register yourself using the Emirate ID & mobile number. An OTP will be sent on the smartphone for verification & switch on the Bluetooth for complete registration. The health status is determined by pairing the QR code with the app’s color-coding system.
GREY – It means that the individual is not tested for coronavirus yet.
GREEN – It means that the individual tests negative for the virus. Or it indicates that the person is not having a virus inside their body. The green code is providing access to public places & the re-opened installations.
AMBER – It indicates that the person has been exposed to the virus and thus needs to get tested or rested quickly.
RED – It means that the individual has tested positive for the virus and must be in isolation for the stipulated days. Reach out to the healthcare authorities for proper guidance.
The Al Hosn app is providing the history of a person’s PCR tests, their current validity, and the status of vaccination. It is being used by the authorities to streamline the movement of people and thus prevent the spread of contamination in the UAE.
Green cards are used by different Emirates in separate ways. The app reveals if a person has been in close contact with someone who tested Covid-19 positive & hence the chances of contracting the disease become higher. Use the Al Hosn app to stay upbeat with the news related to virus attacks and effective prevention.
